Marco Danieli
Born in Bologna, Marco Danieli studied singing at the local Giovanni Battista Martini conservatoire. He started his solo career with the roles of Blansaco and Norton in Rossini’s operas “La Scala di Seta” and “La Cambiale di Matrimonio” at the Municipal Theatre in Bologna (Teatro Comunale di Bologna). His subsequent career as solo singer includes Mozartean roles (Figaro and Conte Almaviva) and parts in Puccini and Verdi operas. He achieved his greatest success as Marcello in Puccini’s La Bohème, as well as Amonasro, Conte di Luna, Rigoletto and Giorgio Germont in Verdi’s Aida, Il Trovatore, Rigoletto and La Traviata. As Tonio in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci he appeared on stage with the tenor José Cura in the popular “Festival del Sole” in Cortona, Italy, as early as 2007. Marco Danieli is also a much sought-after concert singer and the leading soloist of L’Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna Ensemble. In the course of his career, he has worked together with renowned conductors such as Claudio Desderi, Mauricio Bennini, Riccardo Frizza and Daniele Gatti.
