Josef Moravec
Josef Moravec studied voice at the Prague Conservatory, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. He makes frequent guest appearances at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen (Salome, Adriana Lecouvreur, Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor, Die Zauberflöte, Turandot) and at the South Bohemian Theatre (Rodolfo in La Bohème, Count Stanislaus in Der Vogelhändler and Cassio in Otello). As a guest at the Prague National Theatre he sang, for instance, the parts of Avenant (P. Glass: La Belle et la Bête) and Joe (La fanciulla del West). At the Prague State Opera he appeared for instance in the role of the Defender (E. Viklický: Phaedra), Pong (Turandot), Junkman and Herman Augustus (L. Bernstein: Candide), Remendado (Carmen), the Steersman (Der fliegende Holländer), Strolling Player (B. Britten: Death in Venice), Rodriguez (J. Massenet: Don Quichotte) and others.
